Equipment behavior
Orb rarity describes presentation and scarcity; it does not restrict the rarity of equipment that can receive the orb.
| Orb | Can apply when | What changes | Forge preview |
|---|---|---|---|
| Orb of Merit | Items below Good rarity | Sets rarity to Good without changing stats, tiers, or values. | Exact result |
| Orb of Flair | Items below Cool rarity | Sets rarity to Cool without changing stats, tiers, or values. | Exact result |
| Orb of Glory | Items below Rad rarity | Sets rarity to Rad without changing stats, tiers, or values. | Exact result |
| Orb of Severance | Items with at least one stat | Removes the first stat among those tied for the lowest tier, then rebuilds the item name. | Exact result |
| Orb of Ascent | Items whose lowest-tier stat is below Tier 10 | Raises the first lowest-tier stat by one tier and preserves its relative roll quality. | Exact result |
| Orb of Flux | Items with at least one stat | Keeps every stat and tier, then rerolls each value independently inside its current range. | Random within range |
| Orb of Plenty | Items with at least one value below its tier maximum | Raises every stat value by 10%, rounded to its step and capped at the current tier maximum. | Exact result |
| Orb of Oblivion | Items with at least one stat | Removes every stat at once and restores the item's unmodified base name. | Exact result |
Rules worth knowing
- Consumption
- An ineligible selection, missing item, missing orb, or attempt away from the Forge consumes nothing.
- Rarity upgrades
- Changing rarity does not regenerate the item or increase its stat count.
- Lowest-tier ties
- Severance and Ascent choose the first saved affix among all stats tied at the lowest tier.
- Tier boundaries
- Ascent cannot exceed Tier 10. Flux never changes tiers. Plenty never exceeds a tier maximum.
- Random outcomes
- Flux is the only nondeterministic orb; it rolls every value independently after showing the allowed ranges.
